Taihan Technology is deeply committed to supporting disadvantaged groups within our community. Each year, the company contributes a set amount in donations as a way of giving back to local resources. On May 24, we combined our community engagement efforts with our annual Family Day and held the “Taihan Family Day – Support with Veggie Victory” event. Led by our Chief Sustainability Officer, we visited the Formosa Organic Ecological Farm in Yangmei to participate in organic vegetable harvesting (for donation) and team-building competitions. The event not only fulfilled a charitable purpose but also strengthened the bonds among employees.
Despite the rain that day, the enthusiasm of the Taihan family remained undampened. After receiving agricultural education from the farm staff, we took part in the traditional clay kiln cooking experience. The event continued with a session led by the farm manager, who introduced the ecological environment and organic farming techniques. We learned about the important role of the black soldier fly in ecological cycles and the challenges involved in organic cultivation. Following the briefing, our employees and their families rolled up their sleeves and bent down to personally harvest organic vegetables. Knowing that these vegetables would be donated to organizations in need, everyone took on the task with dedication and energy. After enduring both sweat and rain, we successfully harvested and donated 71 kilograms of organic vegetables. With the donation mission accomplished, everyone was able to fully immerse themselves in the team competitions that followed. As colleagues and family members worked together to complete each challenge, the Taihan family grew even closer.

The vegetables harvested during this event were donated to Luther Special Education School, an organization that has long supported the care of individuals with physical and mental disabilities in the area. By offering care services and technical training, the school eases the burden on families and helps its residents gain the skills to work in sheltered workshops and earn a living. Through this donation, Taihan Technology hopes to contribute a small part in providing meaningful, practical support to the school and its mission.
